노리코, 서울에 가다 [Noriko goes to Seoul]

So here goes my very first Korean movie of year 2012. Just watched it yesterday on KBS World. I wasn't expecting for this movie, came back from dinner with the girls and while waiting for my 2d1n show, tada!!

At the beginning, there's this Japanese housewife Noriko who'd decided to fly to Seoul, Korea on her own and participated in a k-pop singing audition, to inspire her bullied teenage daughter. She was a terrible singer but the PD-workers had decided to keep her in the singing competition it'd be interesting for the show.

Kim Minha (Lee Hongki)

She met this really talented boy in the audition, Kim Minha. His soulful singing really impressed her, and she believed that if he could teach her singing, she'd win to the final round. Since Minha needs quite some cash in hand to buy his dream guitar, he rented off his room to this Ahjumma and taught her a few singing skill是. He helped her passed through the 2nd round of audition, with FT Island song - '사랑사랑사랑'

but the same time he failed himself in the competition. Disappointedly, he'd decided to quit singing and do nothing.

Minha failed in the competition. :(

Noriko, almost the age of his mother took the role to convince Minha back to singing. (Minha lost his dad in an accident, and his mom died when he was 15. he only stays with his grandma & jobless uncle) When Minha was bullied by some peers, Noriko stood up for him, which really touched his heart. Later he realised that Noriko had Lung Cancer but none of her family mambers know about it. He told her that she should keep living her dream by winning the competition, and she should let her husband to deal with her problem-kid Miyuki.

A year later, when she's back with her family in Japan and Minha has become a band singer 'Island'. He went to Japan and visit Noriko, as she had not return to Seoul to visit them as she promised. Minha's just appreciate for her appearance that has changed his life.

Minha after became a top K-pop band singer.

This might kinda be another typical Korean drama/movie with pretty boys and girls, but I like the story behind it. Plus, Hongki has that super cute blink blink eyes and adorable face, kan? I must say that his acting skill has improved AAAAAAA LOOOOOOTTTTTT.

At first I had the impression that this boy can't really sing in reality, but i was wrong. He has this beautiful voice, awesome singing skill, but I don't get it why can't he do the same when he sings in FT Island. >.<

1-10, I rate it: 7

*cough cough* Damn, this blog is freaking dusty!!! Well, it's been a long while since I really post some wordy article up here.

First of all, it's 2012 people!! 2012!! and I've just reached my 21st yesterday!

It was just like any other day, to me it seems. Birthday. but 'm grateful to receive wishes from friends from all over the World. Some even send owl mails to me. =]

I've abandoned the habit of blogging, and damn it that I couldn't write a good long sentence now. I've got so much to tell, but those are random ideas, probably it's all twitter's fault. >.< I'm too used to tweet in short phrases.

Anyway, just realised that some of my coursemates had actually been here on my blog, HELLO THERE MY FRIENDS. :) I'm definitely going to be the most boring blogger of the World, mind you. ^^

Remember there was once when everyone owns a blog or multiple blogs, some super pro bloggers have ads and all sorts stuffs like interactive pet, windbell and music player hanging around in their blog page? As a non pro blogger, chatbox is like the only thing to make my blog seem cool. (LOL)

Seriously, don't you think that chatbox was a nice gadget on blogpage? It's interactive, simple and you could simply comment/chat on someone's blog without owning a blog account. Some pro ppl can even change the emoticons to their personal emoticons.

But it's no longer nice to use when it's been abused by some stupid website. You see some unknowns started to comment at your chatbox, saying how much they enjoy in reading your blog posts. At first you might feel happy because your lonely blog gets more attention. But then when one day you get more than 6 or 7 that kind of posts from different unknowns, you just feel like knowing who are these people. Click at their names and all you got are some web pages pop up, telling you where to buy stuffs from here and there. It's so boring... and annoying when you just skipped reading your friends' comments because of the spam. >.<

So, this is for you, chatbox. Everyone should remove you.

Watched [Secret Garden], anyone? I think I can say that it's the best K-drama of the year. :) I know HyunBin and Ha Jiwon are the iconic stars in this drama, but you can never ignore the presence of Secretary Kim, can you? ;)

He acted as some thoughtful yet clumsy secretary in the drama. Always keep an eye for his boss, checking out if there is anyone trying to frame his boss. ^^

I watched the movie before Secret Garden so I was like 'yikes, who's that crazy ass-hole in the movie. He looks so psycho.' But when I re-watched the movie now, I was like 'HAHAHAHAHA, Secretary Kim is there so funny lar~'

When I further wiki him, I just found out he's in [The Spy Myeong-Wol] who only came out at the 1st episode.

I got to admit that this blog is totally abandoned. It's been months that I last post some meaningful & lengthy article. I feel sorry to this blog.

Realised that each day my life is filled with facebook, t

witter, tumblr, games...etc. I could hardly breath or eat or shit right. Life's been occupied with this stupid yet addictive WWW. Maybe I over exaggerated the fact, but it's true that almost 80% of my life is spent on PC/laptop. Sometimes I even forgot when was the last time I write with a pen/pencil. Gratefully I'm not owning any digital toy yet, or else I think I will even play with it while shitting.

Remember the time back in high school when BM teacher threw out some super difficult karangan questions and demanded to see them after 30 mins, that OMG-I-DON'T-KNOW-WHAT-TO-WRITE moment? I am experiencing it from the moment I decided to write this blog post. Not that I have no idea at all on what to write, but the ideas just don't link well together.

Anyway, wouldn't want to spend the rest of the space complaining how idiotic I have been. So might as well put some updates here.

So. It's already week 10 of my summer internship. It's marking an end on my summer intern, at the same time meaning that my sem is starting real soon. In 3 weeks time. >.< Oh NO!!

Before my intern begins, my friend ajak-ed me to stay with him with another guy at a house near uni. Well, it was my intention to stay around for these 12 weeks, yet staying at some stranded area with 2 guys -- it's a big NO WAY for my parents. So what's the solution?? Drive to and fro daily. baahhh!!! 78km a day. Soooooo tired. =.= Not including the traffic jam and all. Sighs~ I see wrinkles all over my face due to all these traffic stress!!!

This was taken during one stupid jam without any cause at semenyih town. One stupid hour long on that 15 minutes route. :X

The other day when giving my dog a trim on her nails, see what she left on my arms? Super nice tattoo I got. :S She was actually carving on my arms. Stupid dog!!!

Couldn't get a spot on On-Campus Hostel, so decided to stay with friends at some safer housing area about 10km away. This little blue cutie is going to be my best pal on the road. It's not that small after all, right Vivian? ^^

Went out with besties during the one-week-break, too bad we aren't a bunch of cam-whores or else you'll be seeing our faces all over this post. LOL! This is a souvenir from ShuWen who came back from Penang recently. What a special souvenir which represent nothing about Penang. hahahahaha. Mine was the only MALE-rabbit while the rest get a cute SHE-rabbit. :) Thanks though.

Mom's phone broke down days back. While waiting for her to pick her desired phone, instead of straining her eyes with this new temp phone we keep at home, I lend her mine. All I got is to use this 1st generation colour-camera-phone. Remind you of the japanese flip phone? I got nothing much to complain about this phone, but it took me 20minutes just to type in a text message. :S

It's even smaller than my hand!!! You people should know how short my fingers are right? Do the measurement then. >.<"

Bookfest! Spent almost rm400 odd in total buying books. I'm so ambitious suddenly, just feel like building my interest in books again. And I got really good deals on all these books!! I know , I know, P.S. I Love You is so old-fashion now, but I haven't read or even watch the movie yet! Call me outdated, I don't care. :)

Currently am reading this awesome book by Annie Leonard: The Story of Stuff. It's about how our stuff came, used, waste and gone somewhere we don't even care to notice. And problems regarding the current environment we're staying at the moment, how the systems work to sustain our needs and blah blah blah. Sound serious? It is a serious topic indeed, but not too boring with the way Annie expressed in this book. Get to know about it when once my Env Management lecturer show us a video talking on Stuff. My summer break

Here comes my summer break!! :D

Okay, I screwed that fcking hard paper in the morning which made my mood as bad as the smelly toilet bowl. It was really bad. =X

But I had to see 2AM at night! So I actually came home right after the last paper and made myself forget abt the bad things. Then my dad sent me all the way to Wisma Bentley Music for 2AM's autograph session. I actually had to go early to collect the 2AM fan T-shirt from the Kpop shop owner. :D It's nice but I'll make it look nicer later on. (So going to add some decoration on it.)

The organizer had already said that Digi is giving out posters for free to let us sign, but I wanted to own the album sooooo much, so I bought the album the day before. My very first Kpop album wei!!! :P But the moment I get myself tagged in, Digi gave all of us a huge huge huge surprise! Whoever own the autograph tickets, get one free 2AM album as door gift! O.O! Yes, ONE ALBUM per person! *faint* that's really a great deal! Digi Live Kpop's really awesome!! So now I have 2 albums. hehehehe :)

The top one I got it for free and the bottom one I bought it. I forgot to take the picture of the free gift: 2AM A4-sized paper file

We waited til 8pm. It was a medium size ball room but the fans, a lot. We waited and waited (fyi, i was alone for that night. My sis and friends didn't want to come which i don't get it why....) DJ Jinn from Hitz.fm was getting us warmed up before these boys came. We had games and a girl actually won herself a damn chance to stay on stage and took a single picture with 2AM!! *jealous* But she deserved that, her singing was really awesome.

They came, the AM boys came!! They first greeet and say something about Malaysia, but I personally dislike the people at the back kept screaming when Jokwon & Seulong were speaking, COME ON lar, if you want to come here and just scream, you better go scream at the seaside, don't disturb the others!! :((

It was great to listen to them singing live. I get goosebumps when they sing 'You Wouldn't Answer My Call'. They're AWESOMELY AWESOME!!! :P

Cut the crap on queing and squeezing, but these boys they signed at the speed of lightning. I was pretty behind but it took me less than 30 minutes to queue!! before going up I figured I should talk to them, and show off some of my Korean skills. Haha. But I got nervous and mixed up between 잘생겼어요(handsome) & 못생겼어요(ugly). LOL! Just different by a word, can't blame me right? Hahaha. So I called the Korean expert - Cheeyeng for help right before I go up on stage. ^^

I went up, first I see Changmin - So so so handsome. His new hairstyle suits him a lot. I tried rto tell him what I planned, but he was busy chit-chatting with the worker next to him. :( Then JoKwon, so so so cute. His face is really small. He said thank you, so polite and soft. [I still prefered his kkapness, but it's okay, still love him anyways) JinWoon, didn't really lok up, busy signing the albums. Then I grabbed my last chance to talk to Seulong, which wasn't my 1st person in mind to talk to. =) So I looked at him and said '잘생겼어요'. It sounds like the words just slipped out from my mouth. He looked at me in surprise to, then stared into my eyes and said '감사합니다' sincerely. I was melted. Been to the moon for a minute. Hahaha!

Honestly I never really consider Seulong as handsome but that night, when I looked up closely, in 30cm apart, he IS handsome. So so so handsome. =) Too bad we can't snap pictures but I would rather wait for the good quality pics to be uploaded instead. ^^

I went home at 9-ish. I'm ready for the showcase on the next day!! :)

p/s: I met Amelia there. I wasn't quite sure for the first 2 times when I saw her, then I tried to call her, and it was HER!! What a pplace to meet. ^^

I've been planning so much in my head but plans are still plans until the moment we really move our lazy ass away from the sticky computer chair, and start kicking the plans off. =( I'm now like in the total tense exam week, yet the procrastinating side of me didn't seem like want to back off at all. Oh no! This is totally not awesome! #playing Power Rangers theme song: 'Owh-oh, We In Trouble, Trouble, Trouble, TROUBLE...' #

Urgh, this is freaking annoying when I know I shouldn't be doing things like staring at the TV, playing Tetris Battle, reading comics/novels, tweeting...bla bla bla, but I still do it. You're so dead, Pay Herng! *curse*

I've seven papers to kill this semester. When I checked my exam docket and browsed through the other student's, I was like, TOTAL IMBALANCE! E&E students have 4/5 papers, Psychology peeps have 4 papers (in 3 weeks time), Mechanical have 6 papers ( drag to 3 weeks long) and us, ChemEng have 7 papers in total and 4 has to be done on the 1st week, 3 papers for 2nd week! So NOT AWESOME! We are not robocop fyi. =( Want to hear the worst news? The usual formula sheet that's been provided for the past 10 years is now gone, no longer providing us that. Walau-eh, GeeGee la this time. T_T

Okay lar, I don't want to spend the rest of my day mourning over the gone formulae sheet. I will just go there, crap, and come back to make my summer break total AWESOME. buh-bye.

In recent years the demand for shark fin soup has skyrocketed, as the dish -- once reserved as a delicacy for the Chinese elite -- has become more commonplace. As a result, shark finning has become extremely lucrative, and unfortunately for sharks, very common.

Shark finning is the practice of cutting off a shark’s fins and dumping the remainder of the animal -- usually still alive -- to die a slow death as they sink to the bottom of the ocean. The fins are sold at extremely high prices, but there is almost no market for the rest of the animal. Just as African elephants are killed by poachers for no other reason than their ivory tusks, some 73 million sharks are killed each year for no other reason than their fins. It is a cruel and wasteful practice; fins are less than 5% of a shark’s body. ....

Movie Marathon!!!

Lol. Well this is my first movie marathon, I didn't want to make myself get tired of movies so soon, so I just had 2 movies back-to-back. =)
Thanks to Vivian Choong who drove me to & from LRT station, and accompanying me for this crazy act right after her class. I always wanted to do this. ;P We went for Sorcerer's Apprentice then Inception. Thank god we didn't pick Inception first. Or else I would have ZERO mood to watch Nicholas Cage's lame jokes. >.<

Hmmmpphh, talking about Inception. No other comments better than this,'It RAPED my mind!!' ^^ It's another movie that you shouldn't miss!! Alright, alright, I guess I'm seriously knock down by Korean Wave now. (a little too slow to get hit?) Anyway, yeah, as a totally non-drama-addict, I'm now after another KBS' drama - Baker King, Kim Takgoo. It actually took 2 weeks time before Takgoo grows up to a man. And I was waiting for him to grow up, literally. XD Lol. But he didn't disappoint me because he turned up to be a cute guy! =)

Apparently he had only debuted for a year but he's now the main character in this drama. Whoa~ And just an hour ago, I watched Strong Heart ep 35 and unexpectedly, Yoon Siyoon is there too~ Lol. How lucky was I, get to watch him twice in a day, RANDOMLY? He can really joke. [perhaps, spending too much time with EunHyuk the joking machine?]

He had also acted in a Korean "long drama". I can actually consider a drama with about 165 episodes as LONG drama rite? ^^

Uh, I just can't wait any longer for coming weeks. 윤시윤 a~ You made me to a drama addict. ;D
